New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday enquired about the incident where a woman was set ablaze by her fiancee in Chowduvada village of Pusapatirega Mandal in Vizianagaram district on Friday morning.
The CM along with fellow minister Botsa Satyanarayana Garu, MLAs, District Collector and SP visited the hospital where the victim was admitted , said a tweet from Deputy CM Pamula Pushpa Sreevani.
The CM has directed officials to provide the victim with the good health care facilities and take strict action against the accused.
According to the information, a man set poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze after suspecting her of having an affair with another man.
The CM laso asked the victim to be shifted to Visakhapatnam where she could be provided with better health care facilities.
Deputy CM Pushpa Sreevani also visited the victim at the hospital and directed the authorities to provide good medical treatment.
“Officials were ordered to provide better care to the victim. The relatives of the victim made use of Disha App to contact the police.They arrived within 21 minutes of reporting the incident and the government congratulates the police on the quick response, ” she tweeted.
“The government urges everyone to download the Disha App which enables them to provide better protection,” she added.
