New Delhi: Mercedes-AMG has a fast-growing product portfolio in India and the latest to join the ranks is the A45S. This is also the most expensive and the most powerful hatchback that is now on sale in India! Available at a price tag of INR 79.50 lakh, the A45S is quite the deal as it takes you into proper sportscar territory.

A full-blown AMG product, the A45S comes with a 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 421 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque. It is paired with an AMG DCT 8-speed transmission and can go from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds! This hot hatch also benefits from an AMG suspension, 4Matic all-wheel-drive and AMG brakes for total control. There are a number of drive modes as well as drift mode! After all, this is a machine that is all about performance and the joy of driving!

Being a Mercedes Benz product also means that it ticks off all the creature comforts that you would expect from the brand. Having said that, the company has ensured that the sporty appeal of such a machine isn’t lost in the design or the cabin.

If you are looking at entering the high-end sportscar club, the A45S is a great bet. It is a machine that thrills as we got to find out on our drive at the NATRAX facility where we took it up to 278km/h on the high speed test track!
