Triumph Street Triple R Review: The Perfect First Big Bike | Review

Triumph Street triple R, the entry level middle weight naked motorcycle with quite a few sporty features. It was launched at a very competitive price starting at 9.15lakh which makes it a very good option to buy, especially for people who are graduating from a smaller capacity motorcycle to their first big bike.

It has three customisable riding modes Road, Rain and Sport. The motorcycle is quick to pick up, has great traction control, ABS, sometimes intrusive but you can always switch it off in the sport mode.

Triumph offers the street triple R with 765cc liquid cooled inline 3-cylinder engine which produces 118ps power and 79Nm torque. It’s a pure performance-oriented motorcycle, moreover it does not shy away from the city traffic. You can easily make way, It’s nimble and agile at the same time. It gets Brembo brakes and they do a very good job at keeping you safe. wonderfully powerful, immediate and sensitive feel & incredibly quick when you want.

There’s one problem with big bikes, they all heat up in the city traffic, now because this is a naked motorcycle, you feel the heat more. Having said that, the best place to enjoy this motorcycle is on an open stretch where you can open the full throttle and really feel this mean machine take you along with it!

The fuel efficiency depends on your riding style, it could be anything between 15-25.

Its street smart aggressive looking naked bike, with typical street triple bug eyed light with LED DRL. You get a crown at the top, the tank looks great, the red subframe gives it a sportier look, the grab rail looks good with the vents on the side and the taillight ends before the tyre. The matt grey and red paint scheme suit the bike and enhances the visual effects complementing the high-quality fit and finish of all the parts and peripherals

Since, it’s a Naked bike, you can see all the parts and engine – There are no open wires left unattended so that’s obviously very good, instead of the clutch wire though, it might look like its restricting the speedometer’s view but not for tall people.

The seat has firm cautioning and wide design which makes it a comfortable ride, its ergonomically sound because the mirrors are placed on the handlebars

The ground clearance is not that much (825mm) because of the oversized under belly exhaust and the tank Capacity is 17.4L

With the revised emission norm and the BS6 transition that is happening, triumph took advantage of the situation and offered the Indian roads with Street triple R, which is much more friendly and street smart to ride than the other competitors in the market. Specially keeping in mind its competitive pricing.
