Gold Futures Fall On Low Demand

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for December traded lower by Rs. 19, or 0.04 percent to Rs. 47,194 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 12,043 lots.

New Delhi: Gold prices fell Rs. 19 to Rs. 47,194 per 10 gram in futures trade on Monday, as speculators reduced their positions amid low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for December traded lower by Rs. 19, or 0.04 percent to Rs. 47,194 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 12,043 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to trimming of positions by participants. Globally, gold traded 0.29 percent lower to USD 1,763.20 an ounce in New York.
