New Delhi: Just hours before the start of the first ODI clash Bangladesh, two Sri Lanka players and coach tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

According to ESPNcricinfo’s latest reports, the Sri Lankan contingent are still waiting for the results of their second RT-PCR test. Despite all of this, the first ODI — scheduled for later today — will go ahead, according to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials.

The three-match ODI series is part of the World Cup Super League (WCSL).

On May 16, Sri Lanka men’s team arrived in Dhaka and then the entire side completed a three-day COVID-19 quarantine ahead of the ODI series against Bangladesh.
