New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to hold its seventh Apex Council meeting on April 16, with some of the key points that are on the agenda being the upcoming T20 World Cup in India, the forthcoming domestic season and also BCCI’s stand on including cricket in Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
The Apex Council members will be informed about the time and venue of the ‘special meeting’ in the coming days, which will have 14 key items on the agenda.
Furthermore, confirmation of the minutes of the sixth Apex Council meeting, discussion on Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association and discussion on representation made by Telangana Cricket Association will also happen, according to the letter, accessed by ANI.
“Notice is hereby given that the 7th Apex Council Meeting (Special Meeting) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (“BCCI) will be held on the 16th of April, 2021,” read the letter from Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jay Shah to the members.
Back in March, the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) had hosted a T20 league by neglecting BCCI’s warning. During this meet, the organisation of the league will also be discussed.
Furthermore, constructive discussions on organisation of T20 tournaments by Tamil Nadu CA, Mumbai CA, Karnataka CA, and Saurashtra CA and dialogues on formation of a working group with respect to State T20 leagues will also be on the agenda.
The committee will also explore the possibility of the appointment of support staff for the women’s team and discussion on international women’s FTP will also take place on April 16.
