New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders player Pat Cummins is loved by cricket lovers for his performance on the field and his fans were more than happy to help when he turned to them on social media for advice. Recently, the player took to Twitter to ask for recommendations from Mumbaikars on a local dish that he should try and netizens made sure he is not disappointed.

Many of the fans came up with the different varieties of dishes that have been a favorite of Mumbai locals for decades. From South Indian cuisines, to the all-time favourites of many in Mumbai, vada pav, aam ras and misal pav, the comment section on Cummins’ tweet was flooded with names of dishes that would make anyone’s mouth water.

After a long discussion and a number of suggestions from Twitteratis that also included the highly popular vada pav, the Australian Test Captain finally decided to go ahead with a poll between vada pav, pav bhaji, misal pav and others.

He finally chose the much-loved pav bhaji and was certainly impressed with its taste. Cummins did not forget to praise the dish on twitter.

He posted a picture of a plate of pav bhaji and described it as “delicious”. He was even left wondering as to why he had never tried the dish before despite visiting India for eleven years.

His team Kolkata Knight Riders also replied to his post and hoped that he had put “extra butter” in his bhaji.

Recently, Cummins had tweeted a video of his and KKR player Shreyas Iyer in which the two could be seen enjoying a lighter moment at the gym. “Anything to distract us from working out in the gym,” he had written along with the post.

Cummins had hit joint-fastest fifty in the history of IPL in 2022 during the team’s match with Mumbai Indians at MCA stadium in Pune. The player had scored half-a-century in just 14 balls and equalled the record made by KL Rahul in 2018 against the Delhi Capitals. Cummins’ half-century had helped Kolkata Knight Riders in scoring a win against Mumbai Indians by five wickets. Cummins’ bat shone as Kolkata Knight Riders needed 35 from 30 balls, which was achieved in just six deliveries with the Australian Test captain smashing six sixes and four boundaries in his 15-ball 56.
