Should The Indian Cricket Team Travel To South Africa At This Hour of Omicron Crisis?

The BCCI has assured of all preventive ad safety protocols for the Indian Cricket Team but tensions remain

New Delhi: With some of the senior members of the Indian Test team showing concern over travelling to South Africa for Test and ODI series at a time when the new Covid variant Omicron has taken the world by surprise, the India cricket board (BCCI) has assured all possible protocols to ensure for safety of the players.

India Ahead News, however, isn’t sure if it is at all safe for our national team to travel under the current state of affairs to South Africa.

A team that couldn’t play the last Test match due to Covid scare and ultimately saw India walking out of the England series from Manchester, it is obvious that the players should be concerned about the safety protocols.

Many felt that the drive to play IPL too was one of the reasons behind India pulling out of the England series. Now that the South African tour is postponed for a week, should the BCCI re-think on its decision not to go ahead with the series like it suspended IPL earlier this year during the second wave?
