New Delhi: As the festive season draws near, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli on Monday announced that he will sharing a series of tips for celebrating a “meaningful Diwali”.

“It’s been a tough year for all of us all around the world, but specially in India with wave 2 hitting hard in 2021. As we get ready for Diwali this festive season, I wil be sharing my tips for you to celebrate with your loved ones and family. Stay tuned on Pinterest and pass the light,” said Kohli in an video message on Twitter.

In the video, clips show Kohli in festive get up while some other show him exercising.

One can also get glimpses of the Indian sweets, including laddoos and jalebis.

Kohli, who is currently in UAE, will be leading India’s push for their first T20 world cup title since 2007. He had said earlier that he will be stepping down as India’s T20 captain after the world cup.

The Virat Kohli-led side will take on England in their first warm-up clash on Monday and then face Australia in another practice game on Wednesday. India will open their campaign in the tournament proper with a much-anticipated clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai on October 24.

Kohli also recently led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to the IPL playoffs. He had said before the UAE leg of the IPL that he will be stepping down as RCB captain as well after the recently concluded season.
