5 New OTT Series And Movies To Binge Watch This Weekend

Bid April adieu with a binge watching marathon with the latest releases in the world of OTT.

A WEEKEND always brings with it the opportunity to cover as many shows and movies as you possibly can. From big releases like Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi finally premiering on OTT to the prequel of the superhit show Anupama streaming now, here are 5 new movies and web series to watch in the last week of April:

What: Gangubai Kathiawadi

Where: Netflix 

Cast: Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn

Alia Bhatt stars in the titular role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus based on the real life story of the mafia queen of Kamathipura. This one is a love-letter from Bhansali to the protagonist with Alia giving her career-best performance as the brothel madame.

After a thunderous success at the box-office, the movie is now streaming on Netflix in Hindi and Telugu. Watch it for Bhansali, the eye-pleasing setting of this visual spectacle  and more importantly, for the new queen on the block Alia Bhatt. 

What: Never Kiss Your Bestfriend Season 2

Where: Zee5

Cast: Nakuul Mehta, Anya Singh, Karan Wahi

Never Kiss Your Best Friend 2 picks up right where the first season ended. Best friends Tanie Brar played by Anya Singh and Sumer Singh Dhillon by Nakuul Mehta, who turned lovers have now parted their ways. As fate has it, they now stumble upon each other once again in London. 

The story also introduces two new characters, Sarah Jane Dias’ Lavanya and Karan Wahi playing Karan.

Watch this one on Zee5 if you’re a rom-com fan.

What: 365 Days – This Day

Where: Netflix

Cast: Michele Morrone, Anna-Maria Sieklucka

Netflix released the long-awaited sequel to the Polish erotic thriller 365 Days this weekend. Heartthrobs Michele Morrone and Anna Maria reprise their roles as Massimo and Laura in 365 Days: This Day. Nacho, played by Simone Susinna also joins the cast for the sequel which is now streaming in Hindi, English, Italian and Polish.

What: Mishan Impossible

Where: Netflix

Cast: Taapsee Pannu

Netflix’ Mishan Impossible is a Telugu comedy thriller based on a true story surrounding three young school children who decide they want to get rich quickly.

The trio decide that the best way to make some easy money is to locate the whereabouts of Dawood Ibrahim, a wanted criminal, in order to earn a big reward from the local cops.

Taapsee Pannu too stars in the film as an investigative journalist. 

What: Anupama: Namaste America

Where: Disney+ Hotstar

Cast: Rupali Ganguly

Prequel to StarPlus’ TRP blockbuster show Anupama, the 11-episode series will unravel the early life of its lead character. And how seventeen years ago she had sacrificed her American dream for her family.

With 5 episodes out already, this extension is for all die-hard fans of the televised version.
