Golden Globe Awards 2021: Chadwick Boseman bags posthumous Best Actor award

Late American actor Chadwick Boseman bagged a posthumous award at the Golden Globe Awards 2021 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama category.

New Delhi: Late American actor Chadwick Boseman bagged a posthumous award at the Golden Globe Awards 2021 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama category.

Boseman received the accolade for his role of Levee Green in ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’. The George C Wolfe directorial marked the actor’s last film. The film was based on August Wilson’s play that revolved around Ma Rainey (the mother of blues).

Boseman who had rose to fame with his role of ‘Black Panther’ in the Marvel Universe films passed away last year after battling cancer at the age of 43. The actor’s wife Taylor Simone Ledward accepted the award. She gave an emotional speech and said, ”He would thank god. He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for his guidance and their sacrifices”.
