New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra stunned her fans as she graced the cover of the coveted fashion magazine Vanity Fair for their February issue. The global star opened up about having kids with husband Nick Jonas and the controversy surrounding her dropping ‘Jonas’ from her social media accounts.
The 39-year-old star recalled the “random Monday in November” when she reverted to only her first and last name on Instagram, which immediately sparked speculation from fans about an impending split.
But as Priyanka tells the elite fashion magazine Vanity Fair, social media is far from being the be-all and end-all. She added that the experience served as a prime example of the microscope celebrities find themselves under in this age.
“It’s a very vulnerable feeling, actually, that if I post a picture, everything that’s behind me in that picture is going to be zoomed in on, and people are going to speculate,” she explained.
“It’s just a professional hazard… Because of the noise of our social media, because of the prevalence that it has in our lives, I think it seems a lot larger than it is. I think that we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don’t think it needs that,” she added.
The global star also talked about how she and husband Nick are open to starting a family in the future. She opened up about their interest in having a baby together. “They’re a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens,” Priyanka said.
Despite how busy the pair are in their respective careers, the actor joked that they’re “not too busy to practice” making a baby. She added that they’re “both okay” with the busy pace in their professional lives and will slow down when the time calls for it.
