New Delhi: SS Rajamouli is one of the most successful and greatest directors of the current times. With mega-blockbusters like Baahubali and Baahubali: The Conclusion, Rajamouli has already achieved box-office highs not just in India, but worldwide.
With his next magnum opus RRR set to release on March 25, 2022, fans have already started speculating about his next project. On Wednesday, several media outlets reported that the mega-hit director will be collaborating with the newest entrant in the Pan-India fame club, Pushpa star Allu Arjun.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, “The lockdown gave enough time to both SS Rajamouli and KV Vijayendra Prasad to revisit their ideas and bring them to the writing pad. There’s a subject with them that warrants the presence of Allu Arjun, and they have had two to three meetings with the Icon Star already.”
If the news turns out to be true, this will be their first film together. “Be assured, the outcome will be special. Rajamouli has worked with stars and presented them to the Pan India audience, this would be the first time when he will work with an actor with an already established Pan India presence. While things are far away, this film is in the front runner of being Rajamouli’s next after the Mahesh film,” the report added.
Allu Arjun rose to national fame with his action drama Pushpa: The Rise that released in cinemas in December 2021. The movie set the movie counters ringing and did a thunderous business at the box-office, eventually emerging as the second highest grosser in Hindi cinema.
Since then, Allu Arjun has been keen on collaborating on pan-Indian projects with renowned directors in Bollywood.
SS Rajamouli has worked with several stars in the past and has helped actors garner pan-India popularity with his films.
As per reports, talks are at an initial stage and an official announcement about the project would only be made after SS Rajamouli completes his next with Mahesh Babu.
