Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has hit the headlines once again as her Twitter account has been suspended permanently, as per reports. The reason behind the suspension is not yet known.
Though reports suggest that Twitter suspended Kangana’s Twitter handle over her controversial tweets related to post poll violence in West Bengal. Ranaut, who has over 3 million followers on Twitter, had reportedly made some controversial remarks on the alleged violence that took place in West Bengal after results were declared on May 2.

This is not the first time Twitter has taken action against the actor’s account. Earlier, the micro-blogging site had removed a number of tweets made from her account for violating the platform’s policies. Her tweets made in connection with the ongoing farmers protest were deleted by Twitter on February 4.
Ranaut’s account was also briefly suspended over her controversial remarks about the creators of the web series Tandav. Meanwhile after the Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress emerged victorious in the West Bengal Assembly Polls 2021, the Queen actor tweeted that ‘Mamata has managed to win because of Bangladeshi’s and Rohingyas’.
Taking to her Twitter handle on May 2, Kangana wrote, ”Bangladeshi’s and Rohingyas are biggest strength of Mamata…. with the way trend is looking shows Hindus are no more majority there, and according to the data Bangali Muslims are the poorest and most deprived in whole India, good another Kashmir in the making… #Elections2021”.
In another tweet, she wrote, ”BJP has shown remarkable growth in #Bengal in 2016 they won 3 seats, growth is 2800 percent,need of the hour is NRC and CAA, in Bengal minority is majority now, nevertheless with the kind of ferocious passion and dedication Modi ji and Amit ji do their work is beyond admirable”.
In another post, Kangana tweeted, ”Ha ha ha what is amusing now hyenas having a field day,even though BJP performed well every where but still after very long they got an opportunity to corner him, enjoy your day. But remember he will rise again like he always does … #BengalElection2021 #Bengal”.
Further, ”Will be difficult to shut eyes to the blood bath that will take place in #Bengal in coming days, many have been killed so far and after the crippling fear of defeat this new found power will make them more blood thirsty, heart breaking # Elections2021”.
Kangana’s tweets invited a lot of reactions from Twitterati. One wrote, ”BJP has lost due to its overconfidence. At the same time there was so much inflation like fuel, wheat, cooking gas etc. You cannot expect votes from poor people and middle class people when they have to pay 900 rupees for gas”.
