New Delhi: Actor Nitish Bharadwaj, who is remembered for his portrayal of Krishna in the mythological television show “Mahabharat”, has decided to call off his marriage. After 12 years of marriage, Nitish Bharadwaj has filed a divorce with wife Smita. Bharadwaj himself has conveyed the information about breaking the relationship to his fans. While Nitish is an actor by profession, his wife Smita is posted as an IAS officer. Smita lives with her twin daughters in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Recently, while talking about his divorce during an interview, Bharadwaj described it as a “worse feeling than death”. He says divorce can sometimes be more painful than death. He said that the matter has been filed in the Family Court in Mumbai. Apart from this, he does not want to talk about the reasons for the divorce. “All I can say is that sometimes divorce can be more painful than death as you live with an amputated core,” Bharadwaj told Bombay Times.

Nitish and Smita got married 12 years ago. However, the two have now decided to end their relationship with mutual consent.

He said, “The worst effect of the breakup of a family is on the children. Therefore, it becomes the responsibility of the parents to ensure that their decision has the least impact on the children and does not harm the children.”

However, the actor has not disclosed whether he is in touch with his daughters or not. He said that he wants to keep this issue confined to himself only, as per the indianexpress.com.
