Mammootty Turns 70, Heartfelt Birthday Wishes Flock in For the South Megastar

Mammootty, more widely known as Mammukka, celebrates his 70th birthday today and had completed 50 years in the industry in August.

New Delhi: Superstar Mammootty, one of Kerala’s most popular icons, celebrates his 70th birthday on Tuesday (September 7).  On this occasion, the south megastar has been receiving massive love and best wishes from his fans, friends and foes from the industry on social media. 

Actors like Tovino Thomas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya and Mohanlal shared heartfelt birthday notes on social media for him.

Prithviraj Sukumaran took to social media and shared a major throwback photo and wrote, “I don’t have a better photo..coz we always forget to take one on those biriyani and black tea afternoons. And more than anything else, thank you for Chaalu and Surmi chechi! Happy birthday Ikka!”

Meanwhile, Mohanlal shared a video to wish Mammootty on his birthday.

“Happy Birthday Dear Ichakka @mammukka,” he captioned his post.

Actor Manju Warrier also wished the iconic south star on his birthday and wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMMOOKKA!!!”

Meanwhile, Nivin Paul shared CDP as he wished Mammootty on his 70th birthday.

Resul Pookutty, sound designer, took to Twitter and said, “Easily one of the biggest stars of Indian cinema @mammukka Happy Birthday. I’m happy and proud that I live and work in the same industry as you and at the same time as you…May almighty shower you with His choicest blessings…”

Furthermore, Tovino posted a heartfelt photo of megastar holding his son in arms as he wished, ‘Happy Birthday Mammukka!’ 

Birthday boy Mammootty, more widely known as Mammukka, completed 50 years in the industry in August. He has done more than 400 films in Malayalam and other South Indian languages other than English and Hindi.

The 70-year-old has also won three National Film Awards for Best Actor, 13 Filmfare Awards South and seven Kerala State Film Awards.
