New Delhi: Lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married in an intimate ceremony in April this year. The duo had been dating for 5 years before taking the plunge.

In a conversation with a leading entertainment portal, Ranbir’s mom Neetu Kapoor talked about how marriage has changed Ranbir for better.

“I am the happiest, today. Alia has given him a lot of love and warmth. I feel the change in him. They look good together. I am very happy and feel lucky that Alia has come into our family. So, life has really changed and I am very content. Woh tension hota hai na, shaadi nahin hui, shaadi nahi hui. Ab shaadi ho gayi,” said Neetu as reported by HTCity.

The JugJugg Jeeyo star also talked about how the low-key wedding has been a trendsetter. “It set an example for many. You don’t have to do a big wedding. You should do a wedding where you should be happy and family should enjoy. Else, hum doosre logon ko khush karne mein lag jaate hain,” the report added Neetu saying.

Recently, Ranbir had also spoken about life post-marriage. “There was no such major change. We are together for five years. We thought that if we get married then we have done it, but we also had some commitments. The very next day of our marriage, we both left for work. Alia went on her shoot and I had also gone to Manali,” said Ranbir.

The Rockstar actor also spoke about their plans of taking time off from their schedules. “When she comes back from London and my film Shamshera releases, we are thinking of taking a week off. We still haven’t realized that we are married,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ranbir is also gearing up for Alia and his first movie together, Brahmastra. The Ayan Mukerji-directorial is slated to hit the theatres in September this year.
