New Delhi: Ever since actor-politician Nusrat Jahan gave birth to a baby boy, she has been enquired about the father of her newborn. The speculation over the father of the newborn son Yishaan J. Dasgupta has been put to rest by the infant’s birth certificate on the website of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

Nusrat’s baby boy’s birth certificate mentions the name of the baby as Yishaan J Dasgupta and that of the father as Debashish Dasgupta, also known as Yash Dasgupta.

On August 26, Nusrat Jahan welcomed her baby boy at a private hospital in Kolkata.

Sources close to Jahan confirmed that both the families of Jahan and her close friend Yash Dasgupta were present in the hospital and soon after the news spread of the birth of the child wishes for the mother and child poured in from Tollywood virtually.

Yash and Nusrat have been rumoured to be dating but neither of them has confirmed the same.

The rumours particularly increased after Nusrat separated from businessman husband Nikhil Jain with whom she had tied the knot in a destination wedding in Bodrum, Turkey in 2019.

A few months ago, the actor released a statement and claimed that her wedding with Nikhil Jain was not valid under Indian laws.

She also alleged that her belongings, like family jewellery and other assets, were “illegally held back” by Nikhil’s family and also added that her “funds were mishandled” from various accounts without her knowledge.

Nikhil Jain had immediately released a statement and had stated that he had already applied for a divorce in the Alipore Family court.
