New Delhi: There have been very few actors who have had an everlasting impact on generations. Sridevi is one such superstar. February 24 marks the 3rd death anniversary of the actor who was the first female superstar of India.

Born on August 13, 1963 in Meenampatti, Tamil Nadu the actor had started her career as a child artist with ‘Kandhan Karunai’. Her debut Hindi film was ‘Rani Mera Naam’ in 1972. Her first big commercial hit was ‘Himmatwala’. Some of Sridevi’s other hits include, ‘Mr. India’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Chaalbaaz’, ‘Lamhe’, ‘Laadla’, ‘English Vinglish’. ‘Mom’ was her 300th film.

Sridevi won many hearts and was crowned as the first female superstar of Bollywood because of her impeccable acting and dancing skills. In a long career of over 5 decades, she continued to be Bollywood’s ultimate Diva. Sridevi breathed her last on February 24, 2018 and died of accidental drowning in a bathtub in a hotel in Dubai.
