New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor delighted their fans with the news of the couple expecting their first child. Alia took to her social media account on Monday to post a picture of her and Ranbir Kapoor to make the grand announcement.

As soon as the news broke, fans have been looking for easter eggs dropped by ‘Ranlia.’

In a resurfaced interview dated back to 2018, Alia Bhatt had said that she had started thinking about names for her babies. “Don’t know if it’s just because I’ve turned 25, but of late, I’ve started thinking of baby names,” she had then said.

In 2019, Alia shared a video with her best friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor on her YouTube channel and spoke about having kids. During a question and answers, Akansha asked Alia, ‘How many kids would I want?’ To this, Alia replied, “Oh yes, 2 boys.”

Family members of the two have also reacted to the news by expressing their joy and gratitude. On Tuesday evening, Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor shared an adorable unseen picture of the duo.

Taking to her Instagram, she wrote “God bless” followed by a two heart emojis.

In the photo, Alia is in Ranbir’s arms, sporting a million-dollar smile. Alia commented on the post and wrote, “My favourite picture (heart emojis).”

Alia and Ranbir tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in April this year. The couple will share screen space for the first time in Brahmastra: Part One Shiva, scheduled to be released on September 9.
