Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty has been listed as a witness in the Mumbai Police charge sheet against her jailed husband Raj Kundra, accused in a pornographic content case.
As per the charge sheet, the actor had told Mumbai police that she was not aware of her husband’s activities.
“I was too busy with work, did not know what Raj Kundra was up to,” said the actor’s statement, which is a part of the 1,500-page charge sheet filed by the police.
She also told the police that she was not aware of the apps “Hotshots” or “Bollyfame” linked to the porn racket.
Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe have been booked under sections of the IPC related to sexual harassment and cheating, among others, as well provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
The crime branch, had in April this year, filed the first charge-sheet in the case against nine persons.
Kundra and Thorpe were arrested by the Mumbai crime branch on July 19 and both are presently in jail under judicial custody.
