New Delhi: A document is being shared on different social media platforms with a claim that the Indian government has ordered a complete lockdown in the country till January 31, 2021, to contain the coronavirus.
The fact check division of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) took to Twitter to clarify that this claim is fake. No such announcement has been made by the Government of India.
This claim might seem plausible to some because the Centre has in past announced a lockdown to contain the spread of the coronavirus. But, always check such claims from multiple sources before forwarding them to others.
