The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Tuesday (March 2) reported that India’s COVID-19 tally reached 1,11,24,527 with 12,286 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
According to the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 12,464 discharges and 91 deaths in the last 24 hours too. These numbers takes the total discharges and death toll in the country to 1,07,98,921 and 1,57,248 respectively.
As per reports, the total number of active COVID-19 cases in India stands at 1,68,358.

As per the Indian Council of Medical Research, a total of 21,76,18,057, samples tested till Monday while on a single day 7,59,283 samples were tested on March 1.
Since the start of the COVID-19 vaccination drive in India from January 16, 1,48,54,136 people in the country have been vaccinated so far.
