The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Tuesday (February 16) reported that India’s COVID-19 tally reached 1,09,25,710 with 9,121 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.

According to the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 11,764 discharges and 81 deaths in the last 24 hours too. These numbers takes the total discharges and death toll in the country to 1,06,33,025 and 1,55,813 respectively.

As per reports, the total number of active COVID-19 cases in India stands at 1,36,872.

Up till February 15, 20,73,32,298 coronavirus samples were tested. From this, 6,15,664 samples were tested on Monday, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) revealed.

Since the start of the COVID-19 vaccination drive in India from January 16, at total of 87,20,822 people have been vaccinated so far.
