1,59,632 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 40,863 Recoveries, 327 Deaths Reported In Last 24 hours, Omicron Tally Reaches 3,623

Country’s daily positivity rate is 10.21 per cent today noting an increase in the positivity rate from 9.28 per cent yesterday.

News Delhi: India reports 1,59,632 fresh Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours out of which 40,863 recovery cases have been noted so far. Death mark has moved up as compared to previous day, today’s death toll stands at 327, as informed by Union Health Ministry.

Country’s daily positivity rate is 10.21 per cent today noting an increase in the positivity rate from 9.28 per cent yesterday. Total active cases in India stands now at 5,90,611 out of which 3,44,53,603 recovery cases have been recorded so far. Total death mark of the country is grievously 4,83,790 now.

India’s vaccination drive touched new highs day before yesterday by administering more than 151.58 crore vaccine doses to the population of India.

The cases of Omicron variant of coronavirus in the country has also witnessed some increase, with a total of 3,623 Omicron cases recorded so far, out of which 1,409 recoveries have been reported, as informed by the Union Health Ministry.

Top two contributing states of Omicron cases remained Maharashtra with 1,009 cases, and Delhi with 513 cases. They were followed by Karnataka with 441 cases, Rajasthan with 373 cases, Kerala with 333 cases and Gujrat with 204 cases of Omicron.

India has now entered a phase of no lockdown but strict restrictions all around. Administrations also urge people to follow Covid-19 Appropriate Behavior (CAB), to curb the infection of Covid-19 and Omicron in the country.
