2,71,202 Fresh Covid-19 Cases In India, Positivity Drops From 16.66% to 16.28%

India’s vaccination drive is doing much better than any other western nations, India administered 66,21,395 doses of Covid-19 vaccines in last 24 hours.

New Delhi: India Reports 2,71,202 fresh Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours which are 2,369 cases more as recorded toll of 2,68,833 coronavirus cases in the country on January 15, 2022. Discharge rate is recorded to be at 94.51 per cent whereas, 314 deaths were reported since yesterday as reported by Union Health Ministry of India.

India reported 1,38,331 recoveries and now total active case toll stands at 15,50,377 increased from 14,17,820 as reported day before. Positivity rate has shown a slight fall as it is recorded to be at 16.28 per cent today.

Total confirmed cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19 are now 7,743 showing a huge surge of 1,702 cases in last 24 hours. Government of India uses genetic sequencing lab tests of samples from covid-19 patients. The test then detect is the positive case is of omicron variant or any new or previous strains of Coronavirus.

Vaccination drive has achieved administering 66,21,395 more vaccine doses to the population of India, total vaccine doses administered so far in India have reached to 1,56,76,15,454.

Meanwhile center has urged all the citizens of the country to get fully vaccinated as soon as possible so that the fight against the covid-19 can be fought with good immunity and better chances of no casualties in future.
