Chandigarh: Devinder Bambiha gang has taken the responsibility for the death of Sandeep Bishnoi, a former gang member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Even though, Sandeep had nothing to do with Sidhu Moosewala’s murder nor was he actively involved in the Bishnoi gang, according to the police sources. In fact, he was in and out of the gang often.
The group has also claimed through a Facebook post that Goldy Brar, Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya and Lawrence Bishnoi will also meet the same fate very soon. On its Facebook post, the group has marked a cross on the photo of Lawrence Bishnoi and Bhagwanpuriya (a sign of elimination) both of whom are in jail right now.
Nine bullets were pumped into Bishnoi’s body on Tuesday at the Nagaur court complex in Rajasthan. Two other accomplices were also injured in the shootout. 33-year-old Sandeep Bishnoi was a resident of village Mangli in the Hisar district of Haryana and was involved in several criminal activities. He was allegedly part of the liquor mafia.
Sandeep was released on bail from Nagaur prison on September 12 in connection with a murder case dating back to 2020. Within seven days of his stepping out, he was shot dead. The latest murder of Sandeep Bishnoi could be a reason for an outbreak of a major gang war in Punjab in the days to come. The central government investigating agencies have given inputs to the Punjab Police intelligence that there is the possibility of a big gang war erupting in the state.
Notably, many members of the Bambiha and Lawrence Bishnoi are already in various jails across north India. Recently, the Bambiha gang members even beat up a Bishnoi gang member named Saraj Mintu, who was connected to the Moosewala murder.
