New Delhi: YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader V. Vijaya Sai Reddy on Wednesday said that the political conduct of Narsapuram MP K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju attracts the provisions of the 10th Schedule of the Anti-Defection Law.
In an official petition to the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, V. Vijaya Sai Reddy asked for the suspension of K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju.
As per the petition, despite several petitions filed over the past 11 months by the party to the Lok Sabha Speaker, no actual action have been taken to suspend the rebel Narsapuram MP, who they claimed was ineligible to act as an MP constituency and also that people were suffering as a result.
As per the petition, which was signed by Rajya Sabha MP and YSRCP Parliamentary Leader V Vijayasai Reddy, urges Om Birla to take immediate action against the Ramakrishna Raju. The YSRCP also said that a fresh petition will be submitted for the disqualification and claimed a Supreme Court ruling against the inordinate delay to take action in the case.
Previously, the YSRCP Chief Whip and Margani Bharath – Rajahmmudry MP – had submitted a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker seeking to suspend K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju’s membership from the Parliament due to the political conduct of Narsapuram MP attracting the provisions of the 10th Schedule of the Anti-Defection Law.
