Army Day 2022: Jawans Display War Skills In Parade; See Pictures

Army Day on January 15, 2022, showed the Indian soldier in a new Battle Dress Uniform (BDU), one which has been designed to ensure better camouflage and comfort. The BDU was finalised after analysing and studying 15 patterns, eight designs, and four fabrics.

New Delhi: On the occasion of Army Day on Saturday, Prime Minister, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee and many more shared their heartfelt wishes for the nation and the priceless, endless contribution of Indian Army.

Army Day on January 15, 2022, showed the Indian soldier in a new Battle Dress Uniform (BDU), one which has been designed to ensure better camouflage and comfort. The BDU was finalised after analysing and studying 15 patterns, eight designs, and four fabrics.

The honour of donning the new BDU at the Army Day Parade in New Delhi went to a unit of the 23rd Battalion of Parachute Regiment commanded by Major Vishesh Pawar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the soldiers. “Best wishes on the occasion of Army Day, especially to our courageous soldiers, respected veterans and their families. The Indian Army is known for its bravery and professionalism. Words cannot do justice to the invaluable contribution of the Indian Army towards national safety,” the PM wrote.
