OPTIONS BEFORE REBEL SENA FACTION

– Stage Physical Parade Of 37 Rebel MLAs Before Governor: All the MLAs also have the option of a physical parade before the governor in support of Shinde
– Resign As MLAs To Avoid Disqualification If They Fall Short Of 2/3rd Number: Uddhav Thackeray-led government approached the Acting Speaker seeking the disqualification of 12 rebel MLAs from the Maharashtra Assembly for not attending the party meeting on Wednesday. The MLAs who are revolting against the Uddhav led Maharashtra government can possibly resign to avoid disqualification if in case things don’t go their way and they fall short of meeting the required numbers.
– Merge Splinter Group With BJP: In order to dodge the anti-defection law the number of MLAs leaving the party should be two-thirds of the total strength of the party in the legislature. Anti defection law states that MLAs who, after being elected on the ticket of a political party can be disqualified in case they “voluntarily give up their party membership”.
Eknath Shinde who is currently claiming the support of 38 MLAs has got the required numbers as far as Maharashtra assembly is concerned. The MLAs have an open option of merging with the BJP who is currently the single largest party in the state.
