BSP Claims ‘Persecuted’ Brahmins Will Join Hands With Dalits To Oust Yogi Govt In UP

Mishra said that it was due to the help from the Brahmin community that the BSP was able to form a government in Uttar Pradesh in 2007.

BSP Gen Secy Satish Chandra Mishra alleged that BrAHMINS WERE BEING KILLED UNDER THE CURRENT GOPVERNMENT

Etawah: Bahujan Samaj Party BSP General Secretary Satish Mishra has alleged that Brahmins in Uttar Pradesh are being killed and persecuted, and the community will join hands with Dalits to help Mayawati form government in 2022 elections.

Mishra said that it was due to the help from the Brahmin community that the BSP was able to form a government in Uttar Pradesh in 2007.

“However, post the BSP era Barhimns were conned by using the name of Lord Ram and then were cheated on by those who used the name of Ram. There are shoot outs happening in which Brahmins are being murdered in the state and the Dalit community is also being targetted in the same way” Mishra said.

Mishra was speaking to reporters after attending ‘prabuddh sammelans’ in Etawah in Western UP.

The party has been organising meetings across the state in the last month in an attempt to mobilise BrahminS which are the biggest voting block in UP after Muslims and Jatavs.

Mishra, who is a Rajya Sabha member and BSP general secretary has been entrusted with the task to oversee the party’s campaign to mobilise Brahmins.

BSP chief Mayawati had announced a campaign from Ayodhya to reach out to Brahmin voters and urge the community not to be “misled” by the BJP.

Mayawati had claimed that the people from the “upper castes” were repenting voting for the BJP in the last state elections and said their interests will be safeguarded if her party comes to power.

The Samajwadi Party has also announced that it will start organising a series of meetings of intellectuals as a part of its Brahmin outreach program ahead of the assembly elections in 2022.
