New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Saturday said that the main accused in the ‘Bulli Bai’ App case Niraj Bishnoi has admitted that he was habitual of hacking, defacing websites and he has been learning the same since he was 15. He has also claimed to have hacked various websites of schools and universities of India as well as of Pakistan, said DCP (IFSO) KPS Malhotra.
DCP Malhotra also informed that Bishnoi has an inclination towards a Japanese gaming character named GIYU as he had created various Twitter handles using the name. Through an account of the same name, Bishnoi had challenged the law enforcement agencies to nab him.
In a series of revelations, the accused also said that he was in touch with the persons arrested by Mumbai Police in the virtual world and used to talk to them through a Twitter group chat. He never met those persons and also did not have their contact numbers, the official said.
Bishnoi also disclosed that he was using the Twitter account of Shweta, who was arrested by Mumbai Police earlier. He was also in touch with the creator of Twitter handle ‘sullideals’ and the ‘Sulli Deals’ app on GitHub, and he admitted to have also propagated the same.
Bishnoi had chosen the Gurmukhi script as he found the same to be more impactful than the Devanagari script. He had also tried to harm himself twice and also threatened to commit suicide, said DCP Malhotra. “Due care is being taken care of him,” Malhotra added.
The accused was arrested on Thursday from Jorhat in Assam and brought to the national capital where he confessed to his role, the Delhi Police said. With the arrest of Bishnoi, 21, Delhi Police said in a statement it has completely solved the case related to hundreds of Muslim women being listed for “auction” on the ‘Bulli Bai’ app.
