‘Bulli Bai’ App Case: Main Conspirator Neeraj Bishnoi Arrested From Assam By Delhi Police’s IFSO Special Cell

New Delhi: In the latest update on ‘Bulli Bai’ App case, Delhi Police’s Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) arrested main conspirator of the purported auction of Muslim women on Bulli Bai application.

Neeraj Bishnoi, arrested from Assam by Delhi Police Special Cell’s IFSO team, is the main conspirator & creator of ‘Bulli Bai’ on GitHub & the main Twitter account holder of the app. He is being brought to Delhi, informed DCP (IFSO) KPS Malhotra in a statement.

Neeraj Bishnoi (20), arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell’s IFSO team in ‘Bulli Bai’ app case, is a resident of Digambar area of Assam’s Jorhat. He is a BTech student of Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal, informed IFSO.

The case was transferred to Delhi Police’s IFSO special cell earlier yesterday. IFSO is also investigating the another similar mobile phone application case that happened to auction Muslim women online ‘Sulli Deal’ case.

Earlier that, The Mumbai Cyber Crime police’s first arrest was Vishal Kumar Jha, a 21-year-old engineering student in Bengaluru. Shweta Singh, an 18-year-old class 12pass out, from Uttarakhand was the next one in the police net while Mayank Rawal (21), again from Uttarakhand, is the third arrest.

Mumbai Police also had filed a first information report (FIR) against unknown persons based on complaints that doctored photographs of women were uploaded for auction on ‘Bulli Bai’ application hosted on the GitHub platform. Police registered a case against these unknown culprits under relevant sections of IPC and the IT Act.

West Mumbai Cyber Police station had on January 2nd, registered a case against the ‘Bulli Bai’ app developers and Twitter handles that promoted the app.
