New Delhi: Punjab’s former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will soon meet current Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to hand over the list of former corrupt ministers and MLAs. According to the sources, the list of corrupt ministers will especially include those names that were involved in illegal sand mining in the previous government.
Captain Amarinder Singh’s list includes half a dozen names of corrupt ministers about whom the captain had apprised the Congress party high command too. Captain’s move has created a severe panic among the Congressmen
CM Bhagwant Mann on May 24, sacked the state’s Health Minister Vijay Singla following complaints of corruption against him. Singla was immediately thereafter arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau.
Singla was demanding Rs 1.6 crore on a project worth Rs 58 crore. His route of money transfer was his personal assistant Pradeep Kumar.
The CMO said that concrete evidence was found against Singla. “For the second time in the history of the country, a Chief Minister took strict action directly against his minister,” claimed the Punjab CM Office in a statement.
