New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (June 1) will chair a meeting regarding the Class 12 CBSE Examinations said government sources. In the meeting, the PM will be briefed over all the possible options about the scheduling of the exams. All stakeholders and states will also be involved in the discussions, said the sources.
The meeting takes place on the same day when the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank was to also hold a meeting over the issue.
However, Nishank was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) due to post COVID-19 complications.
“He (Pokhriyal) was admitted due to post-Covid complications on Tuesday morning. He is admitted under Dr Neeraj Nishchal,” a source said.
This comes on the same day where he was expected to chair a meeting regarding the CBSE 12 board examinations.
In the meeting he was supposed to answer all the queries related to students’ concern over the scheduling of exams.
The CBSE has already cancelled the Class 10 examinations and will mark the students on the basis of internal marks and internal assessments.
However, the students are demanding that the government defers the exams as the nation is in grip of the second wave of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday appealed to Centre to cancel the board exams in view of the pandemic.
