Congress Leader Sulochana Rawat, Her Son Joins BJP

New Delhi: Congress leader and former minister Sulochana Rawat and her son Vishal Rawat joined BJP at the residence of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Bhopal on Saturday night.

Sulochana represented Jobat constituency in the Assembly three times, where bypolls are scheduled to be held on Oct 30.

Sulochana Rawat is an influential tribal leader in Madhya Pradesh, where Jobat assembly will witness an election in a month after the sudden demise of Kalawati Bhuriya.

Bhuria won the Jobat seat in 2018, on a Congress ticket. Jobat’s seat was previously represented by Rawat.
