New Delhi: India on Wednesday reported over 75.8 crore doses administered since January 16, according to the latest government data released at 8 am.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of vaccine doses was recorded at 75,89,12,277. Out of these 61,15,690 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
After recording dips for five consecutive days, India logged 27,176 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,33,16,755 on September 15.
The data shows that the country saw more than 2,000 more cases in the last 24 hours, while the active cases declined to 3,51,087, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday.
The death toll climbed to 4,43,497 with 284 fresh fatalities, according to the data updated at 8 am.
As many as 14,30,891 tests were conducted on Monday taking the total cumulative tests conducted so far for detection of Covid-19 in the country to 54,44,44,967.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.69 per cent. It has been less than 3 per cent for the last 16 days.
The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.00 per cent. It has been below three per cent for the last 82 days, according to the ministry.
