Coronavirus Vaccination Update: 81.8 Crore Doses Administered Till Sept 21

India on Tuesday reported a dip in new infections with 26,115 new cases of Covid-19. A dip of 4,141 cases was recorded in the last 24 hours.

New Delhi: India on Tuesday (September 20) reported over 81.8 crore doses administered since January 16, according to the latest government data released at 8 am.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of vaccine doses was recorded at 81,85,13,827. Out of these 96,46,778 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, India on Tuesday reported a dip in new infections with 26,115 new cases of Covid-19. A dip of 4,141 cases was recorded in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the recoveries showed a dip with 34,469 outpatients, down from 43,938 recoveries recorded on Monday.

The fatalities, on a positive note, also dipped as 252 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. 

As per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 55,50,35,717 samples tested for Covid-19 up to September 20, 2021. Of these, 14,13,951 samples were tested yesterday, the data showed.

These statistics took the total number of cases to 3,35,04,534, while the total number of active cases also reported a dip since yesterday. On Tuesday the active case tally stood at 3,09,575.
