New Delhi: Recording another dip for five consecutive days, India logged 25,404 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,32,89,579 on Tuesday (September 14).
The data shows that the country saw more than 2,000 fewer cases in the last 24 hours, while the active cases declined to 3,62,207, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday.
The death toll climbed to 4,43,213 with 339 fresh fatalities, according to the data updated at 8 am.
The active cases comprise 1.09 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.58 per cent, the ministry said.
As many as 12,08,247 tests were conducted on Monday taking the total cumulative tests conducted so far for detection of Covid-19 in the country to 54,30,14,076.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.78 per cent. It has been less than 3 per cent for the last 15 days.
The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.07 per cent. It has been below three per cent for the last 81 days, according to the ministry.

With 37,127 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,24,84,159.
The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive have exceeded 75,22,38,324 crore.
Out of the 25,404 new COVID cases and 339 deaths reported in the last 24 hours in India, Kerala recorded 15,058 new cases and 99 deaths.
