Covid-19 India Update: New Cases Remain Above 30K-Mark With 31,382 Infections

New Delhi: India on Friday reported 31,382 new Covid-19 cases, keeping the cases above 30K-mark for the second day. India on Thursday had added 31,923 new coronavirus infections, as per the latest data the cases dipped by 540 cases in the last 24 hours.

The active cases declined for the second day to 3,00,162, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.

The other statistics released on Friday morning showed 32,542 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. 318 deaths were reported, taking the total death toll to 4,46,368 lives lost to date.

The total recoveries rose to 3,28,48,273 outpatients on September 23, 2021.

As per the Ministry of Health, more than 81.39 crore Covid vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through the government of India channel and direct state procurement.

The Ministry also added that nearly 86 lakh doses are in the pipeline. Over 4.23 crore balance doses are still available with the States/UTs.

As per the government data, 84 crore doses have been administered so far. As many as 84,15,18,026 doses were administered and out of these 72,20,642 doses were given in the last 24 hours.
