The Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police has registered a case against popular Haryanvi singer and dancer Sapna Choudhary and several others charging her with cheating and breach of trust. Delhi Police had previously registered an FIR against the singer and several others, for breaking the terms of the agreement.

A celebrity management company, which was earlier managing Sapna, has filed a complaint against her and her family members claiming for criminal conspiracy, breach of trust, misappropriation of funds and cheating. The charges have been filed against Sapana’s mother and her brother, Delhi Police has said.

The Director of P&M Movies Pvt. Ltd Pawan Chawla, who has been in the business of celebrity management, has filed a complaint against the popular Haryanvi singer and several others, for breaking the terms of the contract which was signed between them, according to the First Information Report (FIR).

“The preliminary enquiry was conducted into this joint complaint by the undersigned and prima facie, enquiry discloses that the alleged persons mentioned in the complaint, in the conspiracy with each other have cheated complainants by not returning the loan amount obtained through loan cum trust agreements etc. Prima facie, an offence u/s 406/420/120-B IPC is made out,” the FIR copy quoted by ANI said.

As per the complainant’s FIR, Sapna Choudhary broke the terms of the artist management agreement in which it was clarified that she would not be working with any other company nor joining any other company, nor have direct or indirect contact with any client of the complainant. Sapna allegedly breached the agreement and undertook business activities against the terms of the agreement.
