New Delhi: Fact checkers pointed out on Friday that the promotional video of the newly inaugurated Noida International Airport being circulated online by various Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and cabinet ministers as fake.

The video also bore a watermark of the government’s citizen engagement platform MyGov and was posted by their official handles on Twitter. However, after being called out by fact-checkers, the tweet has now been removed.

Mohammed Zubair, who is the co-founder of fact-checking website AltNews, pointed out that the starfish design showed in the tweet by the government’s handle was actually of the Daxing International Airport in the Chinese capital.

Zubair shared a video, originally tweeted by BloombergQuint, after the airport in Beijing was inaugurated in 2019.
