Goa Assembly Elections 2022: Congress Releases second List Of 7 Candidates

In view of the rising COVID-19 cases, Election Commission has implemented a ban on physical rallies, roadshows and procession till January 15.

New Delhi: AICC committee on Sunday released its second list of seven candidates for Goa Assembly polls which are scheduled to be held in February. “Congrats to all the candidates in the 2nd list of @INCIndia candidates for the Goa Assembly Elections.”, said a tweet from Dinesh Gundu Rao, AICC in-charge of Tamil Nadu.

In another tweet he said, ” Along with this list @INCIndia Central Election Commitee has alloted 16-Mayem and 30-Fatorda to the @Goaforwardparty for the ensuing Assembly Elections in Goa.”

Congress on December 16 2021 had released the first list of eight candidates for the upcoming Goa Assembly polls scheduled to take place in early 2022.

The Election Commission on Saturday announced poll dates for five states with Uttar Pradesh going for a seven-phase Assembly election from February 10. Manipur will go for a two-phase election from February 27. Punjab, Goa and Uttarakhand will go for voting on Februrary 14. The counting of votes in all states will take place on March 10.

In view of the rising virus cases, Election Commission has implemented a ban on physical rallies, roadshows and procession till January 15.

Voting time have been extended by an hour and only 1,250 people will be allowed per both, with states urged to ensure that all voters and polling staff are, at least, double vaccinated.
