Panaji: The coronavirus-induced curfew in Goa was on Sunday (August 22) extended till August 30, officials said.
As per a notification issued in the evening, restrictions on the opening of auditoriums, community halls as well as ban on operation of river cruises, spas, massage parlours and casinos will continue as earlier.
The curfew was first imposed in May this year amid a spike in cases and has been extended routinely since then.
Meanwhile India reported 30,948 new covid-19 cases and 403 deaths in the last 24 hours. India’s total cases stand at over 3.2 crores.
Active cases are at the lowest in 152 days, and the active caseload stands at over 3.5 lakh.
38,487 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. With this, the recovery rate increased to 97.57 per cent, which is the highest since March 2020.
The daily positivity rate is at 1.95 per cent, which is less than 3 per cent for last 27 days.
Kerala continues to be the state with most daily Covid-19 cases. It reported 17,106 new cases, 83 deaths and 20,846 recoveries, in the last 24 hours.

Tamil Nadu reported 1,652 new cases, 23 deaths and 1859 discharges in the last 24 hours.
