Haryana Municipal Election Results 2022: BJP-JJP Combine Gains Control Of 25 Municipal Bodies

BJP lost two wards in Karnal- which is Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's home ground. Meanwhile, Anuradha Saini of the BJP wins the presidential election from Jind municipal council.

New Delhi: The election results of the Haryana Municipal corporation will be declared on Wednesday. The counting of the votes started early in the morning at 8 am second and third rounds of counting in under process.

Here Are The Latest Updates:

-The ruling BJP-JJP combine have won control over 25 of the 46 municipal bodies for which the elections were held in Haryana recently.

Reportedly, Independent candidate Priti Khanna won the presidential election from Bhiwani Municipal council by defeating AAP by 4,305 votes.

AAP candidate Nisha Kano Vangha won the president’s post from the Ismailabad municipal committee of the Kurukshetra district. She defeated BJP-JJP candidate Pooja Garg by 101 votes.

Independent Ramesh wins the president post from Hansi Municipal council.

Ashish Chakrapani of BJP wins Pehowa Municipal Committee.

AAP candidate Anil Dhawan leads in Pehowa Municipal Committee of Kurukshetra district against Ashish Sharma of BJP.

BJP candidate Shimla Devi wins Kundli Municipal council election.

Ashish Chakrapani of BJP wins Pehowa Municipal Committee.

BJP leader Sakshi Bansal is so far leading from Ladwa MC of Kurukshetra district.

Daisy Sharma BJP candidate won Sadhura municipal council by a margin of 89 votes against AAP’s Babli. Gaurav Bedi, son of CM Manohar Lal Khattar’s Adviser Krishan Bedi lost from ward number 9 of Shahbad Municipal council.

Independent candidate Advocate Birender Singh won the chairperson’s election by 2,996 votes. Shalini from BJP is also leading with 122 votes against independent candidate Nisha Aggarwal for the post of President at Sadhaura municipal committee in Yamunanagar.

Aam Aadmi Party’s candidates won both Ward-5 and Ward-12 seats of Ratia, Haryana.

Polling to Haryana’s 28 municipal committees and 18 municipal councils were held on Sunday, June 19. While the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Jannayak Janta Party (JJP)alliance and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are fighting these polls on party symbols, the Congress is not fighting the election on the party symbol, but many Congress members have entered the fray as Independents.
