India reports 13,993 new COVID-19 cases on February 20

The COVID numbers in the country have shown a slight increase on Saturday (February 20) as compared to the previous day.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported 13,993 new cases on Saturday (February 20) up approximately 800 cases reported a day earlier on February 19, while the country has reported more than 10 thousand discharges in the last 24 hours. As per the latest update, the country showed a slight rise in mortality and the number of deaths reported stood at 101 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The cumulative data as per Union Health Ministry shows that the total case tally reached 1,09,77,387 on Saturday  (Feb 20) while the total number of people who have recovered and have been discharged reached 1,06,78,048. The total mortalities in the country stood at 1,56,212, while the total number of Active cases in the country stood at 1,43,127. 

The total number of beneficiaries who have received their COVID-19 vaccines has reached 1,07,15,204 as of February 20, as per government data.
