J-K: Non-Local Residents Shifted To Safer Areas After Terrorist Attack

The Jammu and Kashmir police and other security forces have cordoned off the area.

Kulgam: Non-local Residents being shifted to safer places in and around Sopore town. The move comes soon after the killing of two non-local laborers at Southern Kulgam district. Pertinently Kashmir valley has witnessed 10 civilian casualties this month.

Two non-locals were killed and another injured after being fired upon by terrorists at Wanpoh area of Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Sunday evening. The non-locals who were shot dead were identified as Raja Reshi Dev and Joginder Reshi Dev. As per the sources, both of them were originally from Bihar.

While the two were shot dead on the spot, another injured who was identified as Chunchun Reshi Dev was immediately taken to the hospital in Anantnag.

This is the second attack on non-locals in Kashmir in the past 24 hours. The incidence comes a day after a gol-gappa seller from Bihar and a labourer from Uttar Pradesh were killed in back-to-back attacks by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
