New Delhi: Bollywood Actress Jacqueline Fernandez was stopped at the Mumbai Airport by immigration officials due to a LOC (Look Out Circular) on Sunday. The Enforcement Directorate had issued a LOC against the actor in the Sukesh Chandrasekar case.

The 36-year-old actor was first stopped by the immigration authorities at the airport on the basis of a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued by the federal probe agency, they said.

Agency sleuths then reached the Mumbai airport and disallowed her travel, asking her to remain in the country as she may be required to join the probe, they added.
It is understood that she was either travelling to Dubai or Muscat and after she was stopped, she left the airport around 6 pm.

The Sri Lankan-origin actor was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in multiple sessions in connection with the over Rs 200 crore money laundering case being probed against Chandrashekhar and his actor wife Leena Maria Paul.

The Actress wanted to go to Dubai for a show. She will now be brought to Delhi for questioning, as per reports. The probe agency has filed a charge sheet in a Delhi court against conman Sukesh Chandrasekar and others in the 200-crore money laundering case, alleging that he extorted Rs 200 crore from a businessman’s wife while he was lodged in Tihar jail.

The central agency has disclosed evidence showing financial transactions from Chandrasekar to Fernandez.

The sources revealed that the ED has said in its charge sheet, that Chandrashekar gave a horse worth Rs 52 lakh and a Persian cat worth Rs 9 lakh among the gifts worth Rs10 crores to Fernandez.

Investigation into alleged proceeds of crime reaching the Bollywood actor from Sukesh is still on, and the actor is to be questioned again.

Along with Fernandez, the charge sheet mentions actor Nora Fatehi, who has been questioned in the case. Fernandez and her aides have also been questioned.
