Karnataka ex-minister Jarkiholi CD case: Woman missing, parents lodge complaint in Bengaluru

The mother of the victim claims that her daughter is not safe and hence they have filed an FIR with Belgavi police.

In a new twist to the Jarkiholi sex scandal case, the parents of the girl have filed an FIR requesting the police to search for their missing daughter. The girl which was seen in the video with the former Karnataka Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has been missing. The parents released a video explaining their ordeal and expressed their concerns about their daughter’s safety. In the video, the alleged victim’s parents claim that their daughter’s face has been ‘morphed’ onto the video. The alleged victim’s mother pleaded that since the scandal broke out, her daughter has tried to end her life. The parents of the alleged victim have filed an FIR in this regard with the Belagavi police.

In the video, the Mother was seen saying (roughly translated from Kannada),” I saw the TV and called my daughter stating that I saw her in a video. She said she hadn’t seen the video. Once she saw, she called me back and said that it was not me speaking, they have morphed my photo onto the video. I asked her to return home as she hadn’t done anything wrong. She said there’s threat to my life, hence I cannot return. I called her again another day and she said she’s safe, there’s nothing to worry and that I should not be calling her again. Two days back, when we saw another video of our daughter stating that she attempted to end her life and said even we did, that’s when we got worried and we came back to Belagavi. Now we have filed an FIR in this regard at the APMC police station in Belagavi. We have requested the police to search for our daughter and the perpetrators should be arrested.”

The parents demand that the perpetrators must be brought to justice and their missing daughter must be found soon.
