Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP In-charge Arun Singh will hold a crucial core committee meeting in Bengaluru on Friday at 4 pm where prominent leaders like CM BS Yediyurappa, BJP State Chief Nalin Kumar Kateel, and all other senior members will join in to discuss their matters with Singh.

Karnataka BJP in-charge Arun Singh who arrived on a 3-day state visit on June 16, reached Kumara Krupa Guest House in Bengaluru on Thursday. Singh has been meeting rebel MLAs and MLCs who have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Yediyurappa-led government and sought a change in leadership in Karnataka during their meeting with the state party in-charge.

Disgruntled party members like BJP MLC AH Vishwanath alleged interference by Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa’s son in running the government. MLC Vishwanath said “change in leadership was inevitable” during his interaction with the press on Thursday.

Soon after this, CM’s political secretary Renukacharya hit out at H Vishwanath and other leaders who spoke against CM BS Yediyurappa.

Karnataka BJP MLA Arvind Bellad, who also conveyed his concerns to BJP high command about Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s style of running the government, on Thursday alleged that his phone was being tapped and his movement is being monitored. So far Arun Singh has met with five state ministers and over 20 MLAs, who according to him came to brief about their work in their respective constituencies. During a press interaction, Singh clarified that all is well within the party and warned the warring members to mind what they say about the party.

“I didn’t discuss with MLAs anything about the leadership. I want to clarify that there are 2-3 MLAs who are acting in a way that’s harming the party’s image. State BJP chief & other leaders are keeping a record of their statements, ” said  BJP Karnataka In-charge Arun Singh in Bengaluru.

“We’re gathering their records. I appeal to them to keep in mind that their statements should not hurt the party. As far as the statement of MLA Vishwanath is concerned, we’ve made it clear that he is new & is not aware of the party culture,” he added.
